Mohamed Ahmad Alshaikh is a distinguished Emirati legal
professional, widely recognized for his
extensive expertise and influential presence in the United Arab Emirates’ legal landscape.
Authorized to practice before all levels of the UAE judiciary—First Instance, Appeal, and
Cassation—Mr. Alshaikh combines a deep understanding of the country’s legal framework with over
three decades of professional experience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the
University of the Emirates in Al Ain, and another Bachelor’s degree in Law and Economics from
the University of Jazeera in Dubai.
Mr. Alshaikh began his remarkable career in 1987 as a
Legal Consultant at the Ministry of Labor
in Dubai, where he played a significant role in shaping the Emirate’s labor regulations and
policies. His experience and leadership later led him to serve as the Secretary-General of the
Rent Committee at Dubai Municipality from 1997 to 2013, during which he contributed to
developing and enforcing rental laws that ensured fair and transparent treatment for both
landlords and tenants.
From 2014 to 2016, Mr. Alshaikh served as a Senior Legal
Advisor at the Land and Property
Department in Dubai, providing strategic guidance on complex property and land-related matters.
His strong analytical abilities and commitment to justice helped the department navigate
intricate legal challenges while maintaining full regulatory compliance. Subsequently, between
2016 and 2018, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Mediation and Conciliation Center at the
Land and Property Department, where he championed the use of mediation and conciliation as
effective tools for resolving disputes amicably.
Before founding Mohamed Alshaikh Advocates and Legal Consultants, Mr.
Alshaikh was associated
with Hussain Lootah & Associates, where his profound legal insight and decisive approach
contributed significantly to advancing the firm’s legal services and reputation. His areas of
expertise include Construction Law, Real Estate Disputes, Commercial Law, Family Law, Sharia
Law, and Mediation and Negotiation, with extensive experience representing clients before the
DIFC and ADGM courts.
In addition to his academic background—holding an LLB from the University of
Jazeera and an LLM
in law—Mr. Alshaikh maintains active memberships in key legal institutions such as the Dubai
International Arbitration Center (DIAC), the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), and
the Dubai Courts and Cassation Authority (DCCAC). His career stands as a testament to integrity,
